UNIVERSITY PARK, MD -

Mark Zengerle scored with 20.3 seconds left in overtime to give the Wisconsin Badger men's hockey team a 3-2 win at Penn State Saturday night completing a weekend sweep of the Nittany Lions.

Keegan Meuer opened the scoring with a goal at 9:01 of the first period that was matched by PSU's Casey Bailey just over a minute later.

The Badgers regained the lead in the second period when Nic Kerdiles scored at the 17:21 mark.

Penn State answered with just 2:44 remaining in the third period when Kenny Brooks' centering pass tipped off the skate of Wisconsin's Jake McCabe and past goaltender Joel Rumpel to make tie the game at 2-2.

Late in overtime, Joe Faust hit Zengerle with a long pass. Zengerle then fed Kerdiles who returned the feed to Zengerle who buried the game winner in the back of the net for the 3-2 win.

The Badgers have won three straight games on the road and won five straight overall.

With Minnesota losing in a shootout to Ohio State Saturday, Wisconsin stayed a live in the race for the Big Ten Conference regular season title.

The Badgers close out their regular season with a series at Michigan State next weekend. If Wisconsin sweeps the Spartans and Michigan sweeps Minnesota in Ann Arbor, the Badgers would be the Big Ten champions.
