Whitewater men and women headed to "Sweet 16"

The UW-Whitewater men's and women's basketball teams will continue play in the NCAA Division Three tournament later this week.

The Warhawk men (25-4) head to Stevens Point to face Texas-Dallas (27-3) in the "Sweet 16" Friday at 5 pm.

The winner of that game will play the winner of the UW-Stevens Point (28-1) vs. Emory (18-8) game Saturday for a berth in the NCAA Division Three Final Four in Salem, Virginia, March 21-22.

The Whitewater women's team travels to Greencastle, Indiana for their "Sweet 16" game Friday at 4 pm CT. The Warhawks (24-4) play WIAC rival UW-Oshkosh (26-3).

The second game of the evening will have the host school, DePauw (29-1), against Carthage (26-3).

The winners will play Saturday for the sectional championship and a berth in the women's Division Three Final Four in Stevens Point March 21-22.
