WHITEWATER -

The UW-Whitewater men's basketball team is headed to the NCAA Division Three "Sweet 16" in Stevens Point Friday to play Texas-Dallas, and team manager A.J. Bocchini will be there every step of the way.

Bocchini has cerebral palsy, but from his wheelchair does whatever he can to support the Warhawks. He's been a manager for the last two years.

Head coach Pat Miller says "It's hard not to be motivated by a guy who deals with the adversity he does on a day-to-day basis and he's here cheering for them, getting them ready to play."

For Boccini, being a manager could be a stepping stone to a career in basketball. "It's always been a passion of mine," says Boccini. "I really want to go into coaching either at the high school or college level, so we'll see."
