Whitewater Advances to Div. III World Series

The UW-Whitwater baseball team came back to beat Adrian 5-4 Saturday afternoon to advance to the Division III world series for the first time since 2011.

The UW-Whitwater baseball team came back to beat Adrian 5-4 Saturday afternoon to advance to the Division III world series for the first time since 2011.

Whitewater is 40-7 and they will play the winner of the New England regional next Friday, May 23, in Appleton at Fox Cities Stadium. The game will start at 7:45p.m.

Michael Gonzalez's sacrifice fly in the 8th inning gave the Warhawks a 5-4 lead.

Edgerton's Adam Gregory singled in the 7th to tie things up at 4.

The Bulldogs led 4-2 after 5 1/2 innings but Whitewater rallied to advance to the World Series. This is the fourth time in the last 11 years the Warhawks have 40 or more wins.
