A body lift can help improve the shape and tone sagging areas of a patient’s body, according to the American Society of Plastic Surgeons.

The ASPS says a body lift can also help improve cellulite.

During a body lift excess fat and skin caused in part by poor tissue elasticity are removed, the ASPS says.

Body lifts can improve the following areas: Abdominal area, buttocks, groin that may sag into the inner thigh, and the thigh.

The ASPS warns that body lifts are not intended to just remove excess fat, as liposuctions can be performed to treat excess fat.
