JANESVILLE, Wis. -

Students at a Janesville school were sent home Wednesday morning due to a water main break, officials said.

Parker High School students were dismissed after 9:30 a.m. due to the water issue. School district Public Information Specialist Kevin Leavy said school would resume Thursday.

Parker students were scheduled to have end-of-semester exams Wednesday; the exam schedule will extend to Monday due to the closure, the school said.

The school said the commons were kept open so students could wait inside before they are picked up. Janesville Transit had buses at Parker at 9:30 a.m. to transport students and tokens were given to students who needed transportation home, Leavy said.
