STOUGHTON, Wis. -

Stoughton voters will allow the school district to exceed tax levy limits by $7 million over three years.

Sixty-three percent of voters came out in support of a referendum asking for the levy limit increase in Tuesday's election.

The district wants to use the money to help with the $3.1 million fiscal shortfall it's facing next year, when the previous referendum expires.
