UW women's hockey ranked seventh

The University of Wisconsin women's hockey team is ranked seventh in the USA Today/USA Hockey magazine pre-season poll.

Two other WCHA teams are ranked in the top ten - Minnesota is number one, North Dakota, number five.

Wisconsin ended the last season with a 23-10-2 record and was ranked tenth in the nation.

The Badgers open their 2013-14 season with an exhibition game against Team Japan at LaBahn Arena next Monday at 7 pm. Admission is free.
