UW men's soccer stops Marquette

MADISON, Wis. -

Nick Janus scored his team-leading fifth goal of the season as the Wisconsin Badger men's soccer team defeated Marquette 1-0 at McClimon Soccer Complex Wednesday night.

Janus scored the only goal of the game in the 70th minute.

The teams combined for only four shots on goal all game, but Casey Beyers stopped all three Marquette attempts to record the shutout.

Wisconsin improves its record to 6-2-1 on the season, while Marquette drops to 5-3-1.
