Twins power up to beat Brewers, 6-4

MILWAUKEE -

Josh Willingham and Brian Dozier hit homers as the Minnesota Twins defeated the Milwaukee Brewers, 6-4 at Miller Park Tuesday night.

Willingham hit a three-run homer off Brewers starter Yovani Gallardo (3-4) in the third to break a 1-1 tie.

After Martin Maldonado's RBI single in the fourth made it 4-2, Dozier added a two-run shot off Gallardo in the fifth.

Dozier went 3 for 3 with a walk and two runs batted in.

Samuel Deduno (2-3) allowed two runs on six hits, walking four and striking out two in five innings of work to get the win.

Glen Perkins pitched the ninth for his 15th save.

Gallardo gave up six runs on eight hits in his five innings.

The Brewers and Twins will move their series to Target Field for the first of two games Wednesday night.+
