MADISON, Wis. -

A woman arrested in connection to a string of retail thefts faces additional charges after a victim recognized her from an incident in December, according to a release.

A 25-year-old loss prevention officer told police she saw an online news report about two women arrested for retail theft at Gander Mountain on Sunday, police said. The woman said she recognized her December attacker as Ratonda D. Holmes.

The woman said Holmes grabbed and twisted her breast, and threatened to douse her with pepper spray, officials said.

According to the release, the loss prevention officer said she tried to stop Holmes and another woman on Dec. 22 after they tried to take more than $500 worth of merchandise from the Target store at 4301 Lien Road.

When the Target employee tried to stop her, Holmes swore at her, called her a racist, grabbed her chest, pushed her and produced a canister of pepper spray that she threatened to use, police said. When the pepper spray was produced, the Target employee backed off per company policy.

Holmes faces tentative charges of battery, retail theft and use of pepper spray while committing a crime.
