Theresa L. Ryals

Theresa L. Ryals, age 46, passed away on Sunday, June 23, 2013, at Agrace HospiceCare.

She was born on Aug. 2, 1966, in Baltimore, MD, the daughter of Daniel Raymond and Ann Ryals. Theresa graduated from Herzing College on June 13, 2003, with a BS in Technology Management. She married Hardoon "Peter" Wong, on April 4, 2004. Theresa found her calling in food service and opened Delicatessie’s in October of 2005.

The following is an excerpt from Theresa to Delicatessies’s customers on March 13: "For the last 7+ years I have been lucky & grateful to have served the greatest customers ever! I have enjoyed meeting so many people over the years and really loved getting to know everyone. My job hardly seemed like work. I am no longer able to run Delicatessie's for health reasons. I want to keep it going for the people who have enjoyed it as much as I have, my customers. Thanks again for being the best customers, I will miss you all. Love, Theresa "Tessie" Ryals."

Theresa will be remembered as always having a smile on her face. She is survived by her daughter, Lucy Tollefson; father, Daniel Raymond “Danny Ray” Ryals; brother, Daniel Raymond “Danny” Ryals Jr.; sister, La Donna “Shelley” Maupin; family, Wes and David Waterman; husband, Peter; several cousins and many close friends.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Ann Ryals.
