LA CROSSE, Wis. -

A 14-year old Winona boy who made the shot of a lifetime recently, had the opportunity to meet with a world record holder Harlem Globetrotter.

Easton Gamoke, who plays for a Winona basketball team, gained national attention for hitting the game winning full-court buzzer shot at a tournament game earlier this year. He hit the shot again when he demonstrated the shot for a TV crew.

“I’ve seen him all over the Internet,” Harlem Globetrotters rookie Corey "Thunder" Law said after video of Gamoke’s shot went viral on YouTube in mid-January. “He kinda shot it the same way that I shot my world record shot.”

Thunder is in the record books after making a 109 feet 9-inch shot on Guinness World Records Day on November 14, 2013.

Gamoke said he and Thunder talked about their similar shot and their love of basketball while at a basketball clinic at the YMCA in La Crosse on Monday.

"We have a lot in common,” Thunder said. “I'm sure he's been through with people saying ‘it’s just luck’ and stuff like that. It's definitely not luck. You know it takes some kind of skill. You gotta be strong and very flexible to make a shot like that.”

Gamoke said he’s gone to Globetrotters’ games for the last couple years and thought it was cool to meet Thunder.

“It was the first time I learned spinning the ball on my finger,” Gamoke said.

The Harlem Globetrotters will be at the La Crosse Center on Thursday, April 10 for their "Fans Rule” World Tour.
