Supporting cutting-edge brain research
We consider the Waisman Center on the University of Wisconsin campus one of the University’s most important, if relatively unknown, assets. The Waisman Center is, among other things, a leader in biomedical, behavioral and social science research, an international resource for people with developmental disabilities and their families and an invaluable source of outreach activities on all of these for the broader community. It is a gem.
This year the Waisman Center is celebrating its 40th anniversary. This Sunday is the 18th Annual Spring Benefit Concert at 6 p.m. at the Waisman Center Auditorium, followed by a reception with the artists.
Proceeds will support scholarships for children in the Early Childhood Program, stipends for families to participate in research projects and an upgrading of space used by children and families.
This is an important and worthwhile event. You can find more information at the Waisman center website.
