Verona, Wis. -

Tuesday afternoon the Sun Prairie girls softball team puts its undefeated record on the line against once beaten Verona.

The cardinal bats don't break through until the 6th inning when Heidi Morrical gets the base hit up the middle. April Hommerding scores the games first run.

In the 7th Sun Prairie gets the insurance run when Pitcher Kristen Hoppman's sharp grounder gets past the Verona defense. Katelyn Huemmer scores to make it 2 nothing.

Hoppman earns the complete game shut out, striking out seven and allowing just three hits and no walks. Sun Prairie wins 2-0.
