SUN PRAIRIE -

Sun Prairie came into Friday's Prep Mania Game of the Week after a string of close wins to remain undefeated in the Big 8.

Middleton came into the game the winner of five in a row. Something had to give. Sun Prairie's good fortune did not. Sun Prairie snapped Middleton's win streak with a tough 21-14 win.

Sun Prairie debuted its all black uniforms for their homecoming game against Middleton.

In the first quarter, the home team got the action started. Ryan Curran found Trip Soma to make it 7-0 Sun Prairie.

Middleton didn't go away though. Charles Braxton scored from four yards out to tie things up at seven.

Back came Sun Prairie, led by Fayzon Thomas. Thomas scored to put Sun Prairie up 14-7.

In the fourth quarter, things heated up. With Sun Prairie nursing a 14-7 lead. Ryan Curran escaped the Middleton pass rush, rolled right, and heaved it down field to Soma. Fending off a tackler, Soma then lateraled the ball to Frederick Bobo for a huge gain that lead to Curran's sneak into the end zone and make it 21-7 Sun Prairie.

Sun Prairie improved to 7-0 on the season, while Middleton falls to 5-2.
