Saturday night, teams statewide punched their tickets to the State Volleyball Tournament in Green Bay. Sun Prairie and Edgewood are among the teams headed to the Resch Center.

Saturday in Middleton, Sun Prairie looked like they were going to make short work of Middleton. The away team jumped out to a 2-0 lead. Middleton stormed back, winning the next two sets and forcing a fifth and deciding set. Sun Prairie prevailed, and advanced to the Division One State Volleyball Tournament.

In the D2 sectional finals, Edgewood battled Big Foot in McFarland. The Crusaders advanced to Green Bay a year ago, but got off to a shaky start Saturday night against Big Foot. Big Foot took the first set. From there, the Crusaders cruised, taking three straight sets to advance to state.

The State Volleyball Tournament begins Thursday in Green Bay.
