Stoughton wrestling stops Lodi, 40-24

The Stoughton wrestling team used four pins to defeat Lodi, 40-24 in a non-conference meet in Lodi Thursday night.

106 pounder Brandon Klein started the dual with a pin of Lodi's Bryant at 5:53 to get the Vikings started and 113 pounder Tristan Jenny got a 2-1 decision over Jacob Busser.

Lodi got its first win at 120 when Jason Clapper took a 4-2 decision over Stoughton's Garrett Model, 4-2.

But at 126, Stoughton's Zach Hasselberger pinned Lodi's Jacob Collins in 1:54 to extend the Vikings lead.

Stoughton also got wins from Collin Kraus at 132 (major decision 13-1), Gunnar Helland at 152 (3-2 decision), Patrick Reilly at 160 (6-3 decision), Austin Benton at 182 (pin - 3:03) and Brian Wagner at 195 (3-2 decision).

Lodi wins included 138- Cole Endres (8-5 decision), 170- Logan Gordon (pin-3:12), 220- Chandler Gilles (pin - :23), 285- Adam Breunig (pin- 1:53)
