Joey Votto hit a tie-breaking home run in the sixth inning to lead the Cincinnati Reds to a 2-1 win over the Milwaukee Brewers at Miller Park Thursday night.
The Brewers took a 1-0 lead in the second on Khris Davis's fifth home run of the year.
The Reds Zach Cozart tied the game in the fifth with a run-scoring single to center.
Votto then hit a long home run to center field off Brewers starter Kyle Lohse to provide what proved to be the winning run.
Tony Cingrani (6-2) got the win while Aroldis Chapman pitched the ninth for his 30th save of the season.
Lohse (8-8) pitched well but took the loss. He allowed just five hits and one earned run over seven innings of work.
Jeff Bianchi and Norichika Aoki led the Brewers offense with two hits apiece.
