UCLA RB Manfro out for season

UCLA lost running back Steven Manfro for the rest of the season with a torn anterior cruciate ligament, an injury that occured in Tuesday's practice.

Manfro was part of the Bruins' committee backfield approach. Quarterback Brett Hundley scored the team's only offensive touchdown last week at Virginia.

A junior, Manfro was a dependable receiver and special teams contributor. He caught 37 passes the past two seasons.

Freshman Nate Starks will step into Manfro's spot this week against Memphis.

UCLA averaged 3.0 yards per carry last week at Virginia.
