The Houston Rockets believe free agent forward Chris Bosh will agree to a deal now that former Miami Heat teammate LeBron James announced he is headed back to the Cleveland Cavaliers, according to ESPN.com.

The Rockets reportedly have made a maximum offer to Bosh for four years and worth $88 million.

The Rockets are planning to complete their trade of center Omer Asik to the New Orleans Pelicans and deal point guard Jeremy Lin by Sunday to create space for Bosh.

The Philadelphia 76ers have expressed an interest in acquiring Lin, depending on what else the Rockets want to include in the deal.

Since Bosh opted out of the last two years and $42 million out of his contract with the Heat, he has planned to wait until James made a decision before making his choice.

Bosh, a power forward who brings 3-point shooting ability, is expected to be an ideal complement to center Dwight Howard. Last season, Bosh averaged 16.2 points and 6.6 rebounds per game with the Heats

The Rockets have three days to match the Dallas Mavericks' $45 million-plus offer sheet to small forward Chandler Parsons. It is not clear if the Rockets have cap room for Parsons and Bosh.
