The Washington Redskins waived-injured wide receiver Jerry Rice Jr. on Sunday.

He is the son of Hall of Fame wide receiver Jerry Rice.

Rice Jr. tore the labrum in his left shoulder Thursday and requires surgery. If he clears waivers, the team can place him on injured reserve.

Rice Jr. previously worked out for the San Francisco 49ers and Baltimore Ravens after he went undrafted this year. He played collegiately at UCLA and UNLV. In 2013 as a senior, he made 10 catches for 73 yards with the Rebels.
