Johnny Manziel's No. 2 Cleveland Browns jersey was the highest seller on NFLShop.com during the first quarter of the league's fiscal year.

Manziel, taken No. 23 by the Browns in the draft, may or may not start for the team his rookie year. Despite that, his popular Johnny Football moniker has made him a star in Cleveland after his collegiate career at Texas A&M.

After Manziel, Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson, San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick and Denver Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning made up the top four selling jerseys in the NFL.

The only defensive players with jerseys in the top 10 were Seahawks cornerback Richard Sherman (No. 5) and St. Louis Rams defensive end Michael Sam (No. 6). Sam, a rookie, was the first openly gay player ever drafted.

The Seahawks had an NFL-high five jerseys in the top 25. After Wilson and Sherman, the others were the "12th Fan" jersey (No. 10), running back Marshawn Lynch (No. 11) and safety Earl Thomas (No. 20).

Aside from Manziel and Sam, other high-selling rookie jerseys included Minnesota Vikings quarterback Teddy Bridgewater (No. 13), Houston Texans defensive end Jadeveon Clowney (No. 16) and Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback Blake Bortles (No. 18).

The best-selling teams in merchandise were the Seahawks, 49ers and Browns.
