Lightning sign Morrow

The Tampa Bay Lightning signed free agent forward Brenden Morrow to a one-year contract on Friday, the team announced.

Tampa Bay also re-signed forward Richard Panik and signed forward Philippe Paradis. Each received a one-year, two-way contract.

Morrow had 13 goals and 25 points with a plus-1 rating in 71 games with the St. Louis Blues last season. He scored four power-play goals and three game-winning goals.

In 921 career NHL games, Morrow has 262 goals, 567 points and a plus-108 rating with the Dallas Stars, Pittsburgh Penguins and Blues. In 94 Stanley Cup playoff games, he has 19 goals and 46 points.

Morrow was part of the Canadian team that won the 2004 World Cup of Hockey. He also scored a pair of goals and added an assist at the 2010 Olympics in Vancouver, where the Canadians won the gold medal.

Panik had three goals and 13 points in 50 games with Tampa Bay last season. He also had three goals and 11 points in 13 games with the Syracuse Crunch of the AHL. He also played two playoff games with Tampa Bay. He represented Slovakia at the Winter Olympics in Sochi.

Paradis had six goals and 15 points in 56 games with Syracuse last season. In 166 AHL games with the Toronto Marlies, Rockford Ice Hogs and the Crunch, he has 13 goals and 43 points.
