After falling short in the Big Ten tournament final on Sunday, Wisconsin ended up with a No. 5 seed in the NCAA men's basketball tournament.
The Badgers, part of the tournament's West region, will play the No. 12-seeded Ole Miss Rebels from the SEC on Friday in Kansas City, Mo.
The Wisconsin/Ole Miss game is scheduled to tip off at 11:40 a.m. Friday morning and will be seen nationally on truTV.
Fans watching Sunday afternoon's bracket unveiling had to be patient, as the Badgers were one of the final tourney teams announced.
Some thought the Badgers would receive no worse than a No. 4 seed and noted that playing the winner of the SEC tournament in the first game was a very difficult draw.
What's also potentially troubling is the Badgers could face Kansas State in their second game at a site less than two hours away from the Wildcats' home in Manhattan, Kansas.
But that's looking ahead.
On Selection Sunday, Wisconsin was one of seven Big Ten teams who earned bids to the NCAA men's basketball tournament.

That game will be in the late Friday afternoon window and will be seen on TBS.
