Marquette's Vander Blue has decided to leave school after his junior season to enter the NBA draft.
“I've had three great years here and appreciate everything Marquette has done for me during that time to help me develop,” Blue said in a statement. “At this point I want to pursue my dream. I've prayed about it and discussed it with my family and think this is the right decision for me at this time."
The 6-4 wing player emerged as the Golden Eagles' go-to guy last season as he averaged 14.8 points a game in leading Marquette to the Elite Eight.
But there's no guarantee Blue will be picked in this year's two-round NBA draft.
Draft Express has Blue as a late first round pick, but in the 2014 draft.
Scouts will point to the fact he shot only 30 percent from three-point range last season.
Blue was a star player at Madison Memorial High School and originally gave a verbal commitment to play at Wisconsin, but changed his mind and eventually went to Marquette.
