There's a strong chance Baylor center Brittney Griner will be the first overall pick in the WNBA Draft. If you believe Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban, that won't be Griner's only option.

Cuban said he would consider drafting the 6-foot-8 Griner if she was considered the best player on the board when the Mavericks pick comes up in the 2013 NBA Draft in June.

"I would hold my own," Griner wrote on Twitter. "Let's do it."

"You never know until you give someone a chance," Cuban said in a Dallas Morning News interview. "And it's not like the likelihood of any late-50s draft pick has a good chance of making it. If we had tryouts, I would have no problem inviting her to work out and see how she did. No problem whatsoever."

Griner was a three-time All-American at Baylor and leaves the program with 3,283 points, 748 blocks and -- in a rarity in the women's college game -- dunked 11 times during the 2012-13 season.

Cuban said scouting Griner for NBA play is complex, much like evaluating a star player in a lower division or small Division I program. Griner dominated her level of competition, but there's a serious expanse between the NCAA women's college basketball athlete and those in the NBA.

"She'd still have to make the team," he said. "I'm not going to carry her just to carry her. I don't think, anyways."
