Shiocton defeats Darlington for WIAA Div. Six title

MADISON -

Jacob Van Asten ran for two touchdowns and threw for three more as Shiocton defeated Darlington 35-0 in the WIAA division six state football championship at Camp Randall Stadium Thursday.

Van Asten rushed for 109 yards and completed seven of 11 passes for 147 yards.

Shiocton's Patrick Broulliard caught five passes for 143 yards and two touchdowns.

Darlington's offense was held to just 131 total yards - 107 rushing and 24 passing.

The Redbirds also committed two costly turnovers that fueled the Chiefs.

Darlington ends its season with a 12-2. Shiocton is undefeated with a 14-0 mark.
