Ruby B. Grossman

MADISON-Ruby B. Grossman, age 85, passed away on Saturday, Nov. 9, 2013.

She was born in North Leads on July 15, 1928, the daughter of Henry and Bernice (Geise) Grossman. Ruby graduated from Portage High School, class of 1946, and the Columbia County Normal. She later graduated from UW-Stevens Point. Ruby taught in a one room rural schools in Columbia County, Poynette, Waterloo, and fourth grade at Frank Allis School in Madison for 32 years. She was a member of Phi Chapter, Delta Kappa Gamma Society International. Ruby loved to knit and travel.

She is survived by her special friend, Pauline Sinkule; cousins, Jean Palmeteer, Craig Anderson, Jim Anderson, and Roger Anderson; and friends, Mark, Mary, Lindsay, and Danielle Hendrickson. Ruby was preceded in death by her parents; uncles; and aunts.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at ST. BERNARD CATHOLIC CHURCH, 2450 Atwood Ave., Madison, at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, Nov. 14, 2013, with Father Michael Radowicz presiding. Visitation will be held at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service on Thursday.

Memorials may be made to St. Bernard’s Parish or to the Oakwood Foundation.
