DOYLESTOWN—Roger L. Roundy age 78, died on Wednesday, June 12, 2013 at home.

He was born on January 15, 1935 in Madison to Royce and Myrtle (Mathews) Roundy. He served in the U.S. Air Force in England during the Korean War. Roger was married to Lora Buckholz. He was a life long truck driver working both as an independent over-the-road trucker and also for many trucking firms. Roger was a former instructor at the Diesel Driving School, Sun Prairie. Roger enjoyed his breakfast routine almost every morning at the Hometown Café in Rio. He was a member of St. John’s Ev. Lutheran Church.

Survivors include his son, Paul (Susan) Kent of Vancouver, Canada; a granddaughter and great granddaughter; his mother, Myrtle Mallon of Doylestown; three brothers, Terry (Marian) Roundy of Zapata TX, David (Connie) Roundy of Sauk City and Bill Mallon of Doylestown; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his father; wife, Lora; a niece, Elizabeth Beck; a nephew, Kenneth Roundy.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Tuesday, June 18, 2013 at ST JOHN’S EVANGELICAL LUTHERAN CHURCH, Doylestown. Rev. James Bolda will officiate. Interment will be in St John’s Lutheran Cemetery, Doylestown with military honors. Visitation will be from 9:00 A.M. until 10:00 A.M. at the church on Tuesday.

Memorials may be directed to St. John’s Church or the charity of one’s choice.
