JANESVILLE -

They don't hit a ball or make a tackle, but the Rock County Robotics Club is learning skills that will last them a lifetime.

The robotics club has students from Janesville Parker, Janesville Craig and Milton High Schools and has built and trained robotic basketball and frisbee players in the past.

This year, an exercise catapult named "Helga" has propelled the club to new heights. It competed in the nationals at Edward Jones Dome in St. Louis - the home of the NFL's St. Louis Rams.

"You work as a team as a well-oiled machine and it takes a little bit of skill to do that," says club member Dustin Zittlow. "This is my varsity sport."
