Roberta Joyce Mayer

Roberta J. Mayer, age 68 of Lyndon Station, Wisconsin passed away on Tuesday, November 19, 2013 in at the Midwest Regional Medical Center in Zion, Illinois.

Memorial Funeral Services will be held on Friday, November 29, 2013 at 3:00 P.M. at the Conway-Picha Funeral Home in Lyndon Station. Visitation will be held from 1:00 P.M. until the time of the service at 3:00 P.M.

Roberta was born August 28, 1945 in Reedsburg, Wisconsin the daughter of Robert and Ester (Dargel)De Beir. She married Charles Mayer in LaValle, Wisconsin on April 23, 1966.

Roberta was an instrument of God’s unconditional love on Earth. Her devotion to family was absolute and without boundaries. Her service to others was her daily agenda. Roberta had many talents to share and inspire with. These included her beautiful singing of hymns, her meticulous research of genealogy, and her sumptuous passion for cooking. Her faith and love for Jesus was the foundation of her soul which led to many years of Bible study and a thirst for theological knowledge. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, sister, and friend. Her presence and generous love will be greatly missed.

Roberta is survived by her husband, Charles; her sons, Paul (Carmen) of Waunakee, WI, Perry (Tammy) of Wisconsin Dells, WI, Jason of Richland Center, WI and Jared (Amamda) of Stevens Point, WI; a brother, Arlan (Audrey) De Beir of Cottage Grove, WI; a sister, Goldie (Larry) Hurley of Madison, WI and her 5 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Gloria Giese and nephew, Mark Giese.
