MADISON, Wis. -

The Outreach Pride Parade will close several downtown and near east side streets Sunday afternoon, according to a release.

The parade starts at 2 p.m. in the 200 block of South Ingersoll Street and goes down Williamson Street to the Capitol Square, officials said. Streets along the route, including Williamson, Wilson and King streets, will be closed in both directions during the parade.

South Ingersoll Street will be closed between Main and Wilson streets from 12:30-2:30 p.m., according to the release.

There will be no cross traffic on Blair and Doty streets, which are along the parade route, officials said. Police will detour eastbound John Nolen Drive traffic onto Broom Street, and will not allow left turns onto Blair Street from East Washington Avenue.

The 2, 4, 5, 6, 7 and 8 Madison Metro bus routes will be detoured during the parade.
