At the start of the girls softball season, not many picked Mineral Point to go to state- much less win a state title- but that's exactly how the Pointers end its season.

Mineral Point beat Kenosha St. Joe's 7-2 in Division three state final.

It marks the first state title for softball in school history. The Pointers only other state appearanceĀ  came back in 1983. Thirty years later they win its first ever games and state and take home state gold.
