Police: Man grabbed, pulled teen on her way to school

MADISON, Wis. -

Police are looking for a man officers believe grabbed a teen's arm as she walked to the bus stop Friday morning.

The Madison Police Department said a 16-year-old Madison student was on her way to school at about 7:33 a.m. when a man got out of a van on the 6300 block of Raymond Road and approached her.

According to the report, the man, described as between 30 to 40 years old, grabbed her arm and attempted to pull her. She was able to continue to the bus stop.

Police said the man was white, 5 feet 8 inches tall and had sideburns. He was wearing a black sweatshirt, blue jeans and glasses.

The van was described as a black older model, boxy and dirty with tinted windows.

Police said officers canvassed the neighborhood but did not find the man or anything suspicious.

Anyone with information is urged to contact the Madison Area Crime Stoppers at 266-6014.
