Inmate from minimum security facility found, another still missing

MADISON, Wis. -

One of two inmates of the Ferris Center in Madison declared missing over the weekend has been found, according to a release.

Charles G. Juras, 28, of Hollandale, who went missing Saturday from the minimum security facility, officials said.

Juras walked away from the facility through an emergency door around 8:30 p.m., according to the release.

Juras was arrested by Mount Horeb police Monday morning, according to the Dane County Sheriff's Office.

Juras is serving a 12-month sentence for possession of a narcotic drug.

Carnell Perkins, 34, of Monona, was released Saturday morning for work, but when a deputy completed a random check at his place of employment he was not there, according to the release. Another deputy checked the area but did not locate Perkins.

Perkins was sentenced with work release on charges of substantial battery and a probation violation, according to the release.

Perkins is approximately 5 feet 9 inches tall and weighs approximately 190 pounds, according to the release.

Officials ask anyone with information regarding either inmate’s whereabouts to call 911.
