EVANSVILLE, Wis. -

Rock County Sheriff's deputies located a man allegedly involved in a pharmacy robbery Monday afternoon, according to the release.

Officials found Paul M. Engel, 56, who allegedly robbed the Evansville Family Health Pharmacy at 21 W. Main St. in Evansville around 2:15 p.m.

Engel was taken into custody in a stolen vehicle around 7:50 p.m.

Engel allegedly had a scarf wrapped around his face and was wearing a blue hooded sweatshirt with a black vest and black pants during the robbery, according to the release.

Officers in the area pursued someone to 34 S. Main St. and surrounded the house, authorities said. The residence was eventually searched, but Engel was not found.

Witnesses in the area told police Engel may have exited the back door of the home and fled the area when he was initially chased into the home, according to the release.

Around 4:45 p.m., police received a report of a stolen vehicle, which they thought Engel may have taken.

According to the Evansville Police Department, Engel was driving the stolen vehicle, which is a 1996 white Buick Park Avenue with a black cloth top.
