SUN PRAIRIE -Patricia Lynn (Schenker) Klecker, age 28, passed in her sleep on Friday, June 13, 2014, at Agrace HospiceCare, Fitchburg, after 46 well fought months with cancer. Patty was born on Nov. 7, 1984, in New Berlin, Wis. She was preceded in death by her grandparents Charles and Geraldine Schenker and Robert and Pearl Luedtke. She is survived by her parents Gerald and Barbra Schenker; brothers Bryan and Jayson (Lisa) Schenker; loving husband Conor Klecker; and numerous other family and friends she held dear in her heart. Patty attended New Berlin West High School and excelled scholastically and on many volleyball teams. She attended college at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater where she met her future husband Conor Klecker. Patty graduated from UW-Whitewater in 2007 with two degrees; a B.B.A. in Management with Marketing Emphasis and a B.A. in Public Relations.  She was promptly hired by WPPI as the Corporate Communications Coordinator. Conor proposed to Patty as they walked for the first time into the house they built in Sun Prairie. She was diagnosed with cancer just three months later. Patty didn’t let this change the way she lived her life, and was reserved about her health. Conor and Patty married on May 21, 2011, in Madison at the Grace Episcopal Church on the Capitol Square. She continued to work full time and continued to improve her skills and seek professional development opportunities while doing treatment. Patty worked at Great Lakes Higher Education Corporation before obtaining her dream job working for the UW-Madison School of Pharmacy as a Marketing Specialist.  She was a fun-loving wife who bonded with her family, a successful professional, a candy collector, a couponing crackerjack, a personification of strength and modesty, and lived a full, but far too brief of a life. Patty was devoted to all her family, friends and most of all her dog Lucy. A Celebration of Patty’s life will be held at the OVERTURE CENTER, UPPER LOBBY, 201 State St, Madison, on Saturday, June, 28, 2014, from 3 p.m. until 7 p.m.  A service to honor Patty’s spirit will be held on Sunday, June 29, 2014, at 3:00 p.m. at GRACE EPISCOPAL CHURCH, 116 W. Washington Ave., Madison. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the UW Carbone Cancer Center. Online condolences can be posted at gundersonfh.com
