Packers place Johnathan Franklin on IR

GREEN BAY -

The Green Bay Packers have placed rookie running back Johnathan Franklin on injured reserve and signed linebacker Victor Aiyewa to the active roster from the practice squad .

Franklin played in 11 games this season and rushed for 107 yards and a touchdown on 19 carries.

Aiyewa, 6-foot-1, 237-pound first-year player out of the University of Washington, was signed to Green Bay’s practice squad on Oct. 15.

He entered the NFL as a non-drafted free agent with Tampa Bay in July 2011 and spent time with the Buccaneers during training camp that season.

Aiyewa will wear No. 54.
