Oregon advances in WIAA State Boys Team Tennis

The Oregon Panthers made their first appearance at the WIAA State Boys Team Tennis Tournament and the Panthers defeated Stevens Point 4-3 to advance to the semifinals Friday night at Nielsen Tennis Stadium.

Alec Onesti and Dakota Tollackson won their #1 doubles match over Trenton Seegert and Noah Meier 6-3, 6-2 to set the pace for Oregon.

The Panthers also got wins from the #2 doubles team of Jackson Wilhelm and Drew Christofferson.

Brady Behrend and Charles Donovan won singles matches for Oregon who will play Eau Claire Memorial in the Division One semifinals Saturday morning at 9.

Middleton lost its opening round match to Marquette University School 4-3.

The Cardinals wins came from Jake Van Emburgh (#1 Singles), Ben Luskin (#2 Singles) and Brian Bellissimo and Xavier Sanga  (#2 Doubles).

Edgewood begins its competition at the tournament Saturday when the Crusaders play Xavier in the Division Two semifinals at 9 am.
