ALBANY, Wis. -

Officials said Friday that a drug team seized nearly 80 pot plants and arrested two men in separate searches in Albany.

The Green County Sheriff's Office said the State Line Area Narcotics Team and deputies executed a search warrant at a home in the 300 block of Spruce Street in Albany at about 6:15 a.m. Tuesday.

Law enforcement seized 72 cannabis plants, grow equipment for the manufacturing of cannabis plants, an unspecified amount of cocaine and five guns, according to the report.

Kevin Flood, 54, was arrested on suspicion of production of cannabis plants, possession of cannabis, maintaining a drug dwelling and possession of a controlled substance.

The sheriff's office said deputies and the SLANT group also executed a search warrant on Thursday morning in the N6500 area of County Highway X in Albany.

At the Highway X residence, law enforcement found six cannabis plants and an unspecified amount of cannabis, according to the sheriff's office.

Nicholas Roth, 34, was charged with production of cannabis plants, possession of cannabis and maintaining a drug dwelling.

Sheriff Mark Rohloff said due to the proximity of the homes, it was possible the two men knew each other, but the two investigations and warrants were separate.

Rohloff also said the value of the cannabis seized is not yet known. The two cases involved grow operations, and the plants weren't mature, so it's more difficult to determine an approximate value, he said.

Roth and Flood were taken to Green County Jail and are awaiting arraignment, officials said.
