RICHLAND CENTER -

William Henry Bergman entered eternal rest on Friday, July 12, 2013, at Harmony Home in Richland Center following a struggle with cancer.

Bill was born July 18, 1947, in Richland Center, the son of Edward and Margaret (Anderson) Bergman. Bill loved living in the country near Buck Creek, and quickly found tractors to be his favorite piece of equipment, whether for play as a young man, or for driving when he was able. He was known as a small guy driving a big tractor. He often pulled a wagon behind the John Deere riding mower—even using it to transport his mom in the wagon to see the neighbors. Bill was always willing to help neighbors and friends. Even when he moved to Richland Center, he was a great conversationalist with those he recently met or had known quite some time. He loved Harness Horse racing at the County Fair, country music, two way radio communication, and people.

Survivors include his sister Sandy (Don) Gelhouse of Loganville, his special friend Lois Wilson of Schmitt Woodland Hills, nieces and nephews ,grand nieces and grand nephews.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents, his sister and brother in law: Catherine (Phil) Brewer Waletzki; his brother and sister in law: Fred (Evelyn) Bergman; and his Uncle Andy Anderson.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Monday, July 15, 2013, at the PRATT MEMORIAL CHAPEL. Pastor Craig Peach will officiate and burial will be in the Richland Center Cemetery.

Friends may call at the PRATT MEMORIAL CHAPEL on Monday from 11:00 AM until service time at 1:00 PM. The Pratt Funeral and Cremation Service is assisting the Bergman family.
