Published On: Sep 04 2013 09:13:42 AM CDT

Thadeus (Ted) Lucien Musial, age 88, of Fitchburg passed away quietly at home on September 2, 2013.

He was born December 30, 1924 in Kenosha, the son of Lucy Drzewniak & Joseph Musial. He married Marie Seiberlich on September 2, 1950 at St. George's Catholic Church in Kenosha.

Ted attended the Milwaukee School of Engineering for 3 years before becoming a Systems Analyst for IBM where he worked for 25 years. Marie and Ted then relocated to Fitchburg where he worked for Ohio Medical Products (Ohmeda) as a Materials Manager, retiring 1991. Later he became involved with the ELKS Lodge serving as treasurer for many years.

Being drafted right out of high school, Ted served in the US Air Force. Stationed in Biloxi, MS, Ted repaired engines of the planes returning from overseas during WW II. He received an Honorable Discharge in 1946.

Ted is survived by his wife Marie, two daughters, Margaret Mundt and her children Tyler (Jeniffer), their 3 children, and Stephanie (Nick) their 6 children, and daughter Michelle Braddock (Jon) and children Ashley (Dan) and their son, Seth, Timothy, Mary, Nick and Sarah. He is preceded in death by his parents Lucy and Joseph Musial and brother Stanley.

Although Ted was an avid bowler and golfer, his family always came first. His family members often looked to him for advice, and wherever there was a need he was always there to help. He was the rock of the family with his huge heart, sensitivity and good advice. He always made sure his family was taken care of. He was loved so much and will be missed by many.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, 2116 Hollister Ave, Madison, WI 53726, on Friday, September 6, 2013 at 12 noon, with Father DePorres Durham presiding. Thadeus will have a private family burial at Resurrection Cemetery in Madison. Visitation will be held at Church from 11 a.m. until the time of the service.

Memorials may be made to the family or an organization of your choice in Ted's memory.
