Ruby O. Voss

Ruby O. Voss, age 82, died Thursday, October 24, 2013 at UW Hospital, Madison, surrounded by her family.

She was born in the Township of Berry ,on February 9, 1931, the daughter of the late Theodore and Elsie (Evert) Hering.

She was united in marriage to Russell R. Voss on October 10, 1954 at St. John's Lutheran Church in Berry Township. She was a lifetime member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Berry Township.

Ruby loved spending time with her grandchildren, great grandchildren and family, and had taken much pride in working the family farm along with her husband her entire life. She was a wonderful cook, and enjoyed playing cards, gardening and attending her grandchildren's activities and events.

She is survived by 4 children, Brian Voss of Black Earth, Dale (Kim) Voss of Mazomanie, Gloria (Daniel) Frank of McFarland,Gerald (Lisa) Voss of Mazomanie; 10 Grandchildren; Ben, Brooke, Bryanna, Shannon (Bryan) Moyer, Miranda, Kory and Courtney Frank, Danielle (Shaun) Kelso, Tyler (Laura) Voss, Fallon Voss; 2 Great grandchildren; Jaede and Chesney Moyer; 1 Brother; Gilbert Hering. Further survived by nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Russell and a grandson Joshua Voss, brothers, Herbert and Melvin and an infant brother Erland.

Funeral services will be held at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Marxville, at 11:00 a.m. on Monday October 28, 2013 with Pastor Beth Schultz Byrnes officiating. Burial will follow in St. Paul's Cemetery. A visitation will be held from 3:00 p.m until 7:00 p.m on Sunday, October 27, 2013 at the Hoverson Funeral Home, Mazomanie, WI. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given for a fund to be established at a later date.
