Patricia M. Stromer Bemus Dates:

MADISON-Patricia M. Stromer Bemus, age 77, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 23, 2013, at her home in Madison after a short illness.

She was born on Feb. 29, 1936, in Dodgeville, the daughter of John and Catherine (Rach) Palzkill.

Patricia worked for many years as a homemaker and for John Deere. She is a past president and life member of VFW Post No. 1318 Ladies Auxiliary. Patricia was a wonderful mother, devoted and loved by all who were fortunate enough to meet her. She will be deeply missed.

Patricia is survived by her children, Michael (Clarice) Stromer, Timothy Stromer, Catherine Stromer, Patrick (Heather) Stromer, Linda (Rick) Andersen and Jeanine Stromer; nine grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; sisters, Dorothy (James) Dodds, Mary (Merlin) Nilhs, Helen Schmitz, Gene Palzkill, and Catherine “Kay” (Fred) Oomens; and sister-in-law, Myrna “Mert” Palzkill. She was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Robert A. Stromer; second husband, Vic Bemus; daughter, Mary Cain; brother, Norbert Palzkill; sister-in-law, Jackie Palzkill; and brothers-in-law, Dale Carey and LaVerne “Curly” Schmitz.

A Celebration of Life will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL HOME, 5203 Monona Drive, Monona, at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, July 27, 2013. Burial will be at Roselawn Memorial Park. A time of gathering will be held at the funeral home from 9:30 a.m. until the time of celebration on Saturday. A reception will follow the service at VFW Post No. 1318 (Lakeside).
