Nolan was in the Navy from 1948 to 1950 and served on the U.S.S Whitley. He worked at Ohmeda for 35 years as a manufacturing engineer. Nolan was talented in many ways: He had a green thumb and enjoyed gardening, he built his dream log home in McFarland, was a handy man that could fix everything, and made toys for his children. Nolan liked photography, traveling, and family history. For many years our dad would spend time at the Green Lantern Restaurant, enjoying lunch with his friends, buddies and his cousin, Bobby.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty; his daughter Veronica, brother, Beauford Faulkner; and sister Iona Sharp.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, August 17, 2013 at Cress Funeral Home in McFarland. Burial will follow in Highland Memory Gardens. Visitation will be held from 10:00 AM until the time of services Saturday.

The family wishes to extend many thanks to Dr. Mark Olinger at GHC for taking the extra time to listen to our father and care for his medical needs, and to Nolan's good friend, Sandy!
