Martha Breunig

Martha M. Breunig, age 82, passed away peacefully on Friday, November 22, 2013 at Maplewood of Sauk Prairie.

She was born in the Town of Roxbury, on July 25, 1931, to Gerhard and Frances (Suchomel) Breunig. Martha was employed by St. Mary's Hospital in Madison for many years. She was a member of St. Aloysius Catholic Church, Sauk City.

She is survived by four sisters, Myrtle (Leonard) Power of Sauk City, Ethel (Harold) Opitz of Janesville, Audrey (Arnold) Speth of Sauk City and Darlene (Jack) Kleist of Prairie du Sac; three brothers, Don (Marge) Breunig of Sauk City, Ralph (Joanne) Breunig of Sauk City, and Ken Breunig of Sauk City. She is further survived by nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister and brother-in-law, Ruth and Paul Pulvermacher, and a sister-in-law, Cathy Breunig.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday , November 26, 2013 at St. Aloysius Catholic Church, Sauk City, with Father John Blewett officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. A visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Monday, November 25, 2013 at Hooverson Funeral Home, Sauk City.

The family wishes to extend a thank you to the staff at Maplewood of Sauk Prairie for the special care for Martha.

"She is still ours to love, to remember and to hold in our hearts forever,"
