Marie Danzinger Regge

MADISON/MARSHALL/MONDOVI- Marie (Danzinger) Regge, age 83, of Madison, passed away on Monday, Aug. 18, 2014, at Oak Park Place surrounded by her family.

She was born on Sept. 10, 1930, in Mondovi, the daughter of Tony and Margaret (Anibas) Danzinger. Marie was united in marriage to Edward H. Regge on June 12, 1971, in Monona. She worked as a secretary for many companies across Wisconsin, but her favorite job was working for the Mondovi Senior Center. Marie enjoyed knitting and crochet, making many afghans and a variety of doilies for numerous people. She loved going out to eat with friends and family.

Marie is survived by three children, Gary (Terry) Regge, Douglas (Kelly) Regge and Renae (Darrin) Ebert; eight grandchildren, Troy, Jamie (Ken) Dalton , Alicia, Molli, Cody, Steven, Paige and Megan; two great-grandchildren, Andrew and Kasidi; sister, Jeanette Scheuermann; sister-in-law, Linda Danzinger; and many loving nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; three sisters; and her brother.

Funeral service will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL HOME, 5203 Monona Drive, Madison, at 2 p.m., on Monday, Aug. 25, 2014 with Father Randy Timmerman officiating. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from Noon until the time of the service on Monday.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Agrace HospiceCare or an Alzheimer’s charity. A special thank you to the staff of Oak Park Place for the excellent care of our mother.

  • PHOTOS: Viewers drop off sensitive documents for Shredfest

    The WISC-TV studio parking lot was busy with hundreds of viewers bringing their sensitive documents to be destroyed as part of Shredfest with the Better Business Bureau Saturday morning.

    A combined 1,295 cars dropped off bags of papers at WISC-TV on Raymond Road and SVA Certified Public Accountants firm on John Q. Hammons Drive.

    News 3 and Better Business Bureau team members unloaded bags of documents from viewers' cars and Pellitteri Waste Systems' Data Destruction team put the papers into the shredding trucks.
