Kimberly Kay Kohn

Kimberly Kay Kohn, 39, of Platteville died on Wednesday, June 19, 2013 at University of Wisconsin Hospital and Clinic of cancer.

Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, June 22, 2013 at First English Lutheran Church, Platteville. Rev. Michael Short will officiate. Burial will be at Hillside Cemetery, Platteville. Friends may call from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. Friday at the church or from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service on Saturday at the church. Memorials may be made to the Kimberly Kay Kohn Memorial Fund. Kim was born on August 16, 1973. She grew up in Belmont where she graduated from High School. She then attended UW-Platteville and graduated with a degree in Criminal Justice. She married her husband Brian on August 19th, 2000 at The First English Lutheran Church in Platteville. She currently held the Clerk of Court Position for Grant County, in Lancaster, Wisconsin.

She liked spending her time cooking, baking, and being with her friends and family. Kim had an infectious smile and a contagious laugh that made everyone want to be around her.

The survivors include her husband Brian, her parents Steve and Kay Austin, her Grandmother Ruth Spensley, her brother Corey (Tiffany) Austin and their kids Aidan and Ian and her younger brother Kirk (Traci) Austin and their kids Ashlyn, Colin, and Gavin. She was also survived by her mother in law Donna Kohn, sister in law Britney (Ryan) Kowalski and their kids Kaden and Kamryn. Kim was preceded in death by her Grandpa Glenn Spensley, her Grandparents Merle and Lula Austin, her father in law Bill Kohn, and Brian’s Grandparents Don and Dorothy Dobson, and Howard and Bernice Kohn.
