Kenneth G. Krall

DEERFIELD-Kenneth G. Krall, age 84, of Deerfield, passed away on Sunday, Oct. 27, 2013, at the Karmenta Center with his family by his side.

He was born on Dec. 15, 1928, in Aniwa, the son of Frank and Frances (Kremer) Krall. Ken married Joan Tesch on Apr. 27, 1957, in New Berlin. He enlisted in the U.S. Army and served in Japan and Korea. He owned and operated Deerfield Greenhouse for more than 30 years. Ken was a member of St. Dennis Catholic Church and a charter member of the Dane County Farmers Market. Ken enjoyed life, traveling, food, family, and humor. He especially loved spending time with his family and grandchildren.

Ken is survived by his wife of 56 years, Joan; children, Mary (James) Gang, Tom (Brenda) Krall, and Diane (Michael) Bahmann all of Deerfield; 6 grandchildren, Laura and Sarah Gang, Mark and Philip Krall, and Andy and Sabrina Bahmann; brothers-in-law, Les (Marlynn) Tesch, James Graham, and Dave Melius; as well as numerous other nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends; and his pet schnauzer, Muffin IV. He is preceded in death by his parents and siblings, Agnes Rindfelsch, Marion Graham, Connie Melius, George Krall, Frank Krall, Dorothy Calupnicek, Victoria Lenzer, and Martin Krall.

A Mass of Christian Burial for Ken will be celebrated at ST DENNIS CATHOLIC CHURCH, 505 Dempsey Rd., Madison, at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 30, 2013, with Father Randy Timmerman and Monsignor Raymond Kertz concelebrating. Burial will be at Highland Memory Gardens. Visitation will be held at the church from 10 a.m. until the time of service on Wednesday.
